In this dossier, we analyse the various issues related to the return and presence of several mammal species such as wolves, otters and beavers. These emblematic species play an important role in the ecosystems they occupy. Their protection will have a beneficial effect on many other species. Moreover, these species are often the symbol of free and wild nature.
At the dawn of the return of the wolf to Wallonia, Forêt & Naturalité has formulated an opinion on the important issues at stake in order to successfully cohabitate with the various players in the area. The sustainable establishment of a wolf population certainly marks a new vision of the Walloon forest, wilder and freer.
