The French National Commission for UNESCO and the French IUCN Committee are joining forces to organise an inter-network seminar on the "libre évolution". This seminar, aimed at both generalists and experts, will take place at UNESCO (Paris) on 8 and 9 January 2024.
This initiative follows on from a study-action launched by the French National Commission for UNESCO on the "Zones de Pleine naturalité" since 2022. A number of international specialists have been interviewed to identify initiatives and knowledge on the subject. This is also a topic of interest to the Wilderness and Feral Nature Working Group set up by the IUCN in 2012.
Forêt & Naturalité will be speaking on 8 January at 5.20pm to share its thoughts on this topic in Wallonia and Białowieża.
